The IRS has announced the mileage rate reimbursement will be split for 2026. The rate for Jan-June will be $0.725; and, for July-Dec will be $0.76. Please track your business miles accordingly.

As we celebrate today, let us pause and reflect what must have been the talk of the 56 brave men as they read the final version of the Declaration of Independence 250 years ago. How one rode throughout the night in a pouring rain from his home in Delaware to cast his vote, while he was dying from cancer. The final sentence sums up each of their sacrifice: "And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.".

While not perfect, it has served this great experiment well. Let's not forget it!

As we enter 2026, we extend best wishes to everyone!

Now that 2026 is here, we will begin the final preparations for all the new changes in the tax code. As you are aware, there are several and they are not straightforward. They can affect individuals different. This is not the year to rely on basing your return on what happened to a friend or neighbor received.
