We're getting a lot of questions about the ERC from business owners due to abundant phone calls, advertisements and emails being received from ERC solicitors, claiming pretty much every business qualifies. I thought this was helpful to clear up some confusion on the things you may have heard, but if you read this and think you may qualify based on the actual qualifications, please let us know and we can help you check into it.

These FAQs provide general information about eligibility, claiming the credit, scams and more guidance about the Employee Retention Credit.

State leaders roll out joint effort to help business and workers hit hard by economic fallout of coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

03/21/2020

In light of the extended deadlines for filing and paying taxes until July 15, and the circumstances surrounding COVID-19, we are changing procedures for this year in an effort to reduce the risk of spreading the virus to our clients and our employees.

Be assured, we are continuing the work to complete most of your returns by April 15, regardless of the changed deadlines. We are encouraging those who still have appointment dates upcoming to stick to the current schedule, but either upload documents to our online portal, email, mail, or drop off tax documents either through our mail slot, or arrange for us to meet you at your car outside. If you want more info about the online portal, please give us a call or email and we'll explain the process and help you set it up.

If you would like to talk with us about your returns, either at drop-off or at pick-up, we can arrange a phone call to go over your return with you. If you would rather meet in person as usual, we will need to delay your tax return preparation until it becomes possible to do so. If you feel that because of the extended filing and payment deadlines, you would rather wait until after April 15 to file, than please let us know. However, we especially encourage those who believe they are due a refund to stay on schedule so they can receive their refund as soon as possible.

Please do not hesitate to call or email us any questions you have about these changes. We ask that you are patient with us as we all navigate these unusual procedures, and we will do our best to continue offering you the same great service you expect!

We pray that you all stay safe and healthy during these difficult times, and pray the Lord's grace and peace be with you all!

We're sure most of you have heard, but this is the latest on this tax season. Filing deadline and payment deadline moved to July 15 for business and personal returns. Due to this news and the growing restrictions regarding social distancing, we are evaluating how to proceed with this tax season, and will announce soon any changes to our schedule and procedures.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin tweeted Friday that President Trump has directed him to move Tax Day to July 15, giving taxpayers more time to file their taxes in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
