Layson Advisory Group

Layson Advisory Group We started out in 1981 as owners of the local franchise office of Padgett Business Services.

Our mission is to provide the families and businesses we serve with innovative financial strategies, solutions and planning that result in financial clarity, security and overall financial health. We have built a successful practice because over the years we have consistently provided quality tax and financial services to hundreds of small businesses and individuals in the Middle Georgia area. Dec

iding to expand our services and adding additional staff in 2002, we formed On-Site Business Solutions. We continue to offer the same essential small business and personal tax and financial services as we always have, but we wanted to offer our clients even more services by adding Quickbooks expertise and training, an Enrolled Agent status, paperless bookkeeping, and more. As we have done from our first day in business, we continue to give each and every client the personal attention they deserve - something that’s a bit of a rarity in these financial times. We are committed to earning and keeping the trust our clients have given us and we hope to have the same opportunity to serve you. In 2014, we have changed to Layson Advisory Group since our services have expanded. We specialize in retirement and estate planning to families nearing or already enjoying retirement, insurance solutions to all families in any stage in life, college planning, investment management, and tax planning and accounting services to individuals and businesses. Our mission is to provide the families and businesses with innovative financial strategies, in an effort to provide financial clarity, solutions, and improve your quality of life. Making strong commitments to our clients and building life-long relationships are tenets of success at Layson Advisory Group.

Child life insurance acts as an investment for giving your child a strong financial start in life. The cash value that accumulates in the policy can be tapped to fund major life milestones, like getting their first car, paying for college, or even a downpayment on a house later on.

The beauty of child life insurance lies in its flexibility-the cash value can be used at the discretion of the policy owner for any purpose you wish.

What happens when you sit down with a financial advisor for the first time? 🤔

For us, it doesn’t start with recommendations. It starts with LISTENING

In this clip from Episode 31 of *Money on the Table with the Laysons*, we’re pulling back the curtain on that first meeting—what we’re looking for, why we ask so many questions, and why understanding the whole picture matters before we ever talk about what comes next.

Because good financial planning shouldn’t start with someone telling you what to do. It should start with someone taking the time to understand **you.**

Even the most diligent planners often overlook a few critical details when structuring their long-term legacy.

Here are three common gaps we frequently see—and how an Enhanced Planning approach addresses them:

1️⃣ Outdated Beneficiary Designations: Did you know beneficiary forms on IRAs and life insurance policies typically override what’s written in a general document? Keeping these synchronized is essential.
2️⃣ Lacking Power of Attorney & Healthcare Directives: Planning isn't just for after you're gone—it’s also about ensuring someone you trust can step in during a medical or financial emergency.
3️⃣ Uncoordinated Asset Titling: If your accounts aren't properly titled to match your overall strategy, your wishes might hit unexpected roadblocks.

Comprehensive planning means making sure all parts of your financial picture are speaking the same language.

Have you reviewed your core documents in the last 3–5 years? Visit https://staging.lusonwp.com/laysonadvisorygroup/enhanced-planning-questionnaire/ to answer a quick questionnaire to make sure there are no gaps in your long term plan!

Tragedy struck when Josh, 39, was found dead from a sudden cardiac event, despite being healthy just days before. While shock overwhelmed Liz, financial worries did not. Josh’s life insurance allowed her to take a leave of absence from her work to grieve and care for their 3-year-old.
