I have since moved back home, sold my business in Florida to a good friend, partner and Tax Accountant. All my tax clients were passed onto a professional Tax Accountant, who I know will get good service. I did about a dozen returns last year for family and friends. Didn't make a lot of money, but it was nice to connect with them, and try to help them through the growingly complex system of Federal (and State) Tax returns. The IRS is in constant motion, with new laws starting and old laws (including benefits) expiring. This year I'm a full fledged business. I am an E-File provider with a IRS designation number, a licensed Tax Preparer (7 years) and a registered company with a EIN number. In addition I have had a number of clients come to me with those dreaded papers from the IRS and you know the one's I mean. Never a welcomed sight in the mailbox.
