We had a great opening weekend at Baker Lake spending time with my kids and some good friends. Unfortunately, our crew was hit hard by a stomach bug, so we only got to fish for a little while each day. Even with the limited time on the water, we still managed to put some beautiful fish in the boat.
The boys also had a blast catching bass around camp, which kept the fun going even when we weren’t on the lake chasing sockeye.
After a couple days of rest and getting everyone healthy again, we’ll be ready to get back up there and rock and roll. Looking forward to the weeks ahead!

Smashing morning on the water! These guys were awesome to fish with. Netting there own doubles all morning. We found a groove early and the action was nonstop until we put fish number 40 in the boat. Plenty of laughs, bent rods, and happy anglers made for an unforgettable day. 🎣

Baker lake sockeye
Unfortunately, due to lower-than-expected returns and sockeye numbers falling below preseason forecasts, we have been notified that there will not be a 2026 Upper Columbia River Summer Sockeye season. We will be posting Baker lake dates as soon as we get all previous bookings rescheduled.

Amazing morning putting some great Kokanee on ice! 🎣

The fish definitely had the upper hand at times this morning. We lost way too many before they could make it to the net, but we’ll put the blame on the fish for that one. Despite a few escape artists, we still put together a great catch and had a blast on the water.

The bite was steady, the action was nonstop, and the cooler got a little heavier with every pass. Hard to complain about a morning like that!
