IRS late payment penalties to be automatically waived for 2020 & 2021 taxes owed. The penalties for taxes owed for those years will resume April 1, 2024 for balances still owed for those years. Must owe under $100,000 for those years to qualify. 👀👍🏼

The IRS is waiving roughly $1 billion in late-payment penalties for millions of taxpayers with balances under $100,000 from returns filed in 2020 and 2021.
