It’s been a great tax season!

Wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all my clients and to my sister, Betty! She’s an incredible asset to me and I couldn’t have done this without her.
Now to take a couple of days off to relax and recover from all the long hours.

Well Mama, we are on the "home stretch". It's been a good tax season. I really know what you meant when you always said, "it's like a family reunion." I get that now!

It's like catching up with old friends every year. So many still talk about you and the impact you made in their lives.

I'm so thankful for the opportunity to carry on the business that you loved so much.

It will be 8 years tomorrow that you left this world. There have been a lot of changes this past year but I think you’d be proud of the decisions I’ve made and how I’ve continued to grow the business you loved so much.

Start a folder now to gather all the forms you'll need to have your tax return prepared! This is a form you may not be familiar with.

A heads up to owners: If you earn more than $600 using third-party payment cards, you may receive an Form 1099-K that you need for your 2022 tax return. Be sure to check your contact info now!

Mandatory 10-Digit dialing is coming to the 804 area code. Now is the time to clean out and edit the contacts on your mobile device!

Starting on October 24, all calls within the 804 area code must use 10-digit dialing (area code plus the number). On and after this date, local calls dialed with only seven digits may not connect and a recording will inform the caller that the call cannot be completed as dialed. You must hang up and dial again using the 10-digit numbers.

Last year, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) established "9-8-8" as the new, nationwide three-digit phone number for the National Su***de Prevention Lifeline. The new three-digit dialing code will be available nationwide by July 16, 2022 and will provide an easy to remember and easy to dial three-digit number to reach su***de prevention and mental health counselors, similar to 9-1-1 for emergencies and 3-1-1 for local government services.

In order for 9-8-8 to become the three-digit phone number to connect with the lifeline, all area codes that use "988" as a local exchange, or the first three digits of a seven-digit phone number, will need to begin using 10-digit dialing. The 804 area code is one of the 82 area codes nationally that will need to adopt this change.

Due to the COVID pandemic we are asking clients to send their information electronically or drop it off at the office.

If you would like a link to my secure portal to upload your information, please email me at [email protected]

If you’d like to drop off your information, no appointment needed. There are plastic folders provided at the door. Place your information in the folder and slide thru the slot in the door. It will drop directly into the office.

If you truly feel the need for a face to face, please be prepared to wear a mask. If you’ve been sick, been around someone sick, or even suspect you could have been exposed, please call to reschedule.

We have everything in place for you to drop off your paperwork. You will receive a call with any questions. Once completed we will contact you so you can stop by sign and pick up your package.
