2021 Tax Season is here!

There are a few new tax laws that we are ready for. One that will affect almost everyone is the reconciliation of the 3rd stimulus payment which was received in 2021. The IRS is sending forms that will show the amount they have recorded that was received. Another change……For those that have children 17 and under, you have probably already received the form showing how much Advanced Child Tax Credit you received. (If you have not received the Child Tax Credit Form, you can check the amount received at the link at the bottom of this post). It is very crucial that both of these amounts are reported on your tax returns and they match the IRS records!! If the amounts do not match, it will slow the tax return process substantially.
