Charitable Giving for Retirees

A recent CNBC article discusses a proposed bipartisan bill that could allow retirees to make qualified charitable distributions directly from 401(k)s. Under current law, retirees who want to use 401(k) funds for a QCD must first roll the money over to an IRA. Legislation aims to eliminate this step.
