There is a provision in the 2025 tax law (the One Big Beautiful Bill) that creates a new type of savings/investment account for children called “Trump Accounts.”
Under a pilot program in that law, children born between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2028 are eligible for a one-time $1,000 government seed contribution into these accounts — not a cash payment directly to parents. �

💡 How It Works
The federal government will seed a Trump Account with $1,000 for eligible newborns (born 2025–2028) who have a valid Social Security number and meet the eligibility rules. �

That $1,000 is deposited into the child’s tax-advantaged savings/investment account, not straight into a bank account like a stimulus check. �

To benefit, a Trump Account must be established (usually by a parent/guardian) and the proper election made. �
