At MidCoast, we believe strong teams are built with intention.

One framework that helps guide how we work together is Patrick Lencioni’s Ideal Team Player model, which focuses on three qualities: humble, hungry, and smart.

For the MidCoast Wealth team, being hungry means continuing to learn, thinking ahead, and looking for ways to better support the people we serve.

Financial planning is personal, and circumstances can change over time. That is why our team asks thoughtful questions, takes time to understand each client’s goals, and stays proactive as their financial picture evolves.

At MidCoast, being hungry means staying curious, continuing to improve, and bringing a long-term perspective to the planning process so clients can feel informed, supported, and prepared for what comes next.

Good food, great people, and just the right amount of friendly competition. 🥨🍻
Our annual MidKoastoberfest gave us the perfect excuse to step away from our desks and spend an afternoon together as a team.

We shared a potluck, tested our skills with pretzel toss, raced a few potatoes, and battled it out in Around the World. Most importantly, we had plenty of laughs along the way.

Days like this are a good reminder that some of the best team building happens when we simply make time to connect, have fun, and enjoy each other’s company.
Cheers to the people who make MidCoast such a great place to be! 🍻

At MidCoast, we believe strong teams are built with intention. One framework that helps guide how we work together is Patrick Lencioni’s Ideal Team Player model, which focuses on three qualities: humble, hungry, and smart.

For the MidCoast wealth team, that means listening first, asking thoughtful questions, and recognizing that every client’s financial picture is personal.

Wealth planning is not about assuming we already have all the answers. It is about understanding each client’s goals, concerns, family dynamics, and long-term vision before making recommendations.

Being humble means leading with care, staying teachable, and keeping the focus where it belongs — on helping clients make informed decisions with confidence and clarity.

Fall planning is about more than estimating what you may owe at year-end.

It is an opportunity to step back, review the bigger picture, and identify areas that could impact your tax and financial position before the year closes.

That may include reviewing income projections, estimated tax payments, retirement contributions, business activity, investment income, and other planning opportunities that still have time to be addressed.

The goal is simple: help you make informed decisions before year-end, rather than reacting after the return is already filed.

Talking with aging parents about money can be sensitive, but planning before a crisis can help protect their wishes, dignity, and financial well-being.

Start with the essentials: bill-pay details, key accounts, trusted contacts, durable financial power of attorney, health care directives, wills/trusts, and beneficiary designations.

A thoughtful conversation today can make difficult decisions easier tomorrow.

We just hosted our semi-annual State of the Business meeting, and one highlight stood out: our team’s dedication to continued growth.

At least 11 team members completed new trainings, certifications, or professional designations.

That commitment to learning is one example of how we continue investing in the knowledge and resources needed to serve our clients well.

Because providing thoughtful guidance takes more than experience. It takes a willingness to keep learning, improving, and finding better ways to help clients understand what matters and what comes next.

We’re proud of the work our team puts in behind the scenes, and grateful for the trust you place in us.

Back-to-school season often brings new expenses and shifting priorities for families. It can also be a useful time to revisit education savings - such as 529 plans- monthly cash flow, and longer-term financial goals to make sure today’s decisions still support the future expenses.
