Hi friends,
It has been a while since I have posted anything. Travel and work has made it difficult.
But, just to update a little on the 2011 year, regarding me office, work, etc…
1) Last January, we were in charge of the launch of a cosmetic product in Brazil. The name of the product is Sejaa (www.sejaa.com). We had several days of meetings and presentations with the owner of Sejaa, Miss Gisele Bundchen. Speaking with her and listening to her regarding all that she does with her life (caring for the body, etc) was nothing short of a fantastic experience. She is very passionate about her work and ideas and has a very positive attitude on life.
2) We (our office) had the pleasure of working with Mr. Flavio Augusto, owner of Wise Up English school franchises in Brazil. He gave a presentation at the Sao Paulo Brazil Citicard Hall to several thousand people. I attended and was marveled at how he came to have over 350 franchise schools established over a very short time span. He also has a very positive attitude about his work and what he can offer to others via his large network of businesses(www.ometzgroup.com.br)
3) Son Kenny plays for the University of Utah Utes football team. We were extremely excited as the “U” moved from the Mountain West Conference to the PAC 12. Spring training was a blast to watch as well as all the games in the fall. By all the hard work Kenny put in for the football team with all the practices and weight room training he won several weightlifting competitions and just now accepted an internship as the strength and conditioning coach for the “U’s” varsity baseball team.
4) Other than football the fall brought on many other exciting happenings:
I traveled to Istanbul, Turkey as one of the coaches for the National Brazilian Olympic Wrestling Team. I accompanied the team on this trip as the athletes competed in the Annual Wrestling World Tournament. It was a great tournament! A dream comes true from my own wrestling days, to participate in such a tournament. This tournament was held in September and we traveled to Guadala jara Mexico in October for the 2011 Pan American games. We not only had success as one of our Brazilian Wrestlers won a silver medal, but were also able to assist many other sporting events (baseball, volleyball, swimming).
Next stop for our wrestlers is in Orlando Florida in March 2012 for the qualifying tournament for the 2012 London Olympic Games, GO TEAM BRAZIL! Will be even a bigger dream to take the team to London.
5) New addition to the family, Savannah Golladay and Paris Hewlett, beautiful granddaughters. The moms look great also, Priscilla is on a very regimen of working out and weightlifting. Shannon is back to her running self and now preparing for a marathon in Washington DC. By the way, she also has her own online training and fitness business (along with her business Ripdaddy, er Patrick).
6) Also new addition to the office. All the way from Taiwan, Shu-Yan Zhou. Accounting major from BYU-Hawaii, Master in Accountancy from the University of Utah, return missionary from New York City, speaks several languages. How is that for a fine addition! Welcome Shu-Yan!

PSSS! CONGRATULATIONS JAN! Passed her first Portuguese class with an “A” Great achievement and we are having a great time listening to her speak Portuguese with a Rio De Janeiro accent.
