It’s official… I’m a CFP® professional! 🎉

After almost 20 years in this business, this one means a little extra.

My husband and I teach our kids that there’s a difference between good, better, and best.

For years, I’ve known I was a good advisor. I’ve worked hard to become better than most. And earning my CFP® certification is another step toward becoming the best financial planner I can be for my clients, their families, their businesses, and their legacies.

This didn’t come easy. Months of 20+ hour study weeks. Missed time with family and friends. Sacrifices only the people closest to me really saw.

But the hard work paid off.

All I can say is thank you, Jesus, for hearing my cry. 🙌🏾

Thank you to my husband, who held it down when I couldn’t. And to Hunter and Avery: watch what happens when you refuse to settle for good when better and best are still within reach.

And now, I get to say something I’m incredibly proud of: I became part of the 1% of CFP® professionals who are Black women. 💙
