When planning our Costa Rica nature adventure trip this past spring, I almost cancelled the El Tigre Waterfalls excursion because I saw there were hanging bridges on the trek.

Let’s just say heights and I don’t always do well together.

I looked at various photos to determine the bridges’ height and sturdiness. I contacted the travel agent and asked for specifics about the bridges. He said they weren’t too high.

After thinking it over, I decided my desire to be immersed in nature and experience this magical forest outweighed my concern about the bridges’ height.

Fast forward to April 12th. The first bridge—not only was it high, it swayed back and forth as you walked on it. Only one person could cross the bridge at a time.

I grew nervous and realized there was no turning back—I had to do this. Becky and Greg, our new hiking friends, each crossed the bridge before me. Then I chose to go next, while my partner offered encouragement as I stepped onto the bridge and held the side ropes.

At first I struggled, but then I focused intently on moving forward and looking toward the other side—where I wanted to be.

I made it! As you can hear at the end of the video (this was taken on the second or third bridge), I say, “Wait, it gets easier.”

It’s the same with money.

If you have fear-based thoughts around money—whether it’s fear of not having enough, not understanding how money works, thinking you started too late, or whatever is lurking in your thoughts—say “No” to the fear and proceed onward.

Don’t let fear manage your life or your money. Be strategic, but remember to hold on even when it feels a little shaky. You will get to the other side.

Get on the path to Financial Wellness and keep walking. You too will say, “Wait, it gets easier.”

I am a tree hugger and I am financially free.

My deep connection to nature, which began when I was a young girl, has tremendously influenced my life and my ability to create wealth.

Nature is our greatest teacher; its intelligence is infinite.

The natural world is an ecosystem, as is money. Everything is interconnected.

When we experience and understand nature and money in this way, both wonder and wealth grow.

I see money metaphors everywhere in nature. Do you?

📌 Please share your favorite nature-inspired money metaphor in the comments.

Money is a language. What is your level of fluency?

When we learn a new language, it takes time, energy, dedication, and practice. Often, a teacher or coach is needed along the way.

No one would expect to wake up one day and start speaking French if it were a foreign language to them.

Yet, many people want to go from zero to rich. But like any language, that is not how money works.

Becoming financially secure and ultimately financially free is a journey—but it is a journey worth taking.

June is often associated with weddings. It dates back to ancient times when June was associated with Juno, the Roman goddess of marriage and family.

In the spirit of June weddings, I want to talk about how money can impact marriage and why it is essential to cover the, “I Don’ts” before you say “I Do.”

Marriage is one of the biggest choices and commitments we make in life. Yet, many people skip essential money conversations that should be had before the marriage becomes official.

Money will definitely impact your marriage. Have the money conversations before the wedding bells ring.

📌 Love and money go hand in hand. Feel free to share this with someone who may need this reminder before walking down the aisle.

Many people live paycheck to paycheck.

To achieve financial security, financial wellness, and ultimately, financial freedom, living paycheck to paycheck will never get you there.

I know prices are rising, housing costs are high, and overall the cost of living keeps increasing. So, what can you do about this in your own life?

I suggest you create a monthly budget, scrutinize your expenses—separating your wants from your needs—and adjust accordingly.

If you cannot afford your lifestyle but fail to make changes, you are likely creating debt, including high-interest credit card debt. This creates financial handcuffs.

If you carefully examine your monthly budget, you will likely find expenses that can be reduced or eliminated.

When working with clients, I often see high spending on groceries, eating out, personal and beauty products, clothing, social outings, streaming services, and online shopping.

Sometimes, all it takes is slowing down, analyzing your spending, identifying where you tend to overspend, and then being very intentional in those categories.

The other way to stop living paycheck to paycheck is to increase your income.

A second job, a part-time gig, turning a hobby into an income stream, or selling items you no longer need are all options.

To create wealth, you must find money in your monthly budget to build an emergency fund and invest.

I know that may seem daunting when you feel as though you are barely getting by, but when you shift your mindset and think about money differently, you can change your money habits.

Approach your money situation with your eyes wide open and a feeling of optimism. You are in charge of your life, not your money.

Pets are a lifetime commitment, not an impulse purchase.

I love my cat Marley, she is my buddy and brings me great joy. Marley is also my responsibility.

When we choose to get a pet, we must remember it is a lifetime commitment, not an impulse purchase that you can return if you change your mind.

Pets come with a financial cost and it serves both us and our future pets to consider this cost before bringing them home.

It is not just food and a few toys. A pet’s health is essential. The cost of veterinary care—including an annual exam, vaccinations, any medicines, and required medical procedures—can become very expensive.

If you travel, the cost of pet care while you are away is an added expense and can sometimes be difficult to arrange.

In addition to the financial cost a pet needs your love, energy, and attention.

So, before you say “Yes” to a pet, make sure you are ready for the commitment.

🐾 Share your best pet advice or tell us about a pet who has brought joy to your life.

During a lunchtime conversation, my videographer, Carlos Rivas, asked me, “Have you always been like this?”

By “like this,” he meant my belief in the ability to choose my life, create wealth, and live joyfully.

While I did not grow up with money and faced challenging issues at home, being surrounded by nature as a young girl changed my life.

I saw beauty, abundance, intelligence, and transformation in the natural world. I found comfort and inspiration in nature. I felt connected to it.

And if you spend time in nature, you know growth is everywhere. Somehow, even at a young age, I understood that I could apply the principles of nature to create wealth in my own life.

Nature is still and also energetic.

When you want to create wealth, you need to find stillness and peace around money matters, because stress, chaos, and avoidance do not work. You also need to use your energy in ways that create wealth rather than deflect it.

I look to nature, maintain a daily gratitude practice, and implement money practices that work.

Financial Freedom is attainable. Neither the circumstances you were born into nor your current circumstances define you or your ability to create wealth.

📌 Take a moment today to notice the abundance around you. If this message resonates, share it with someone who could use the reminder.

What do friendship, nature, and money have in common?

They all thrive with attention and presence. It seems simple, and it can be—if we practice both.

This week, I was in Jupiter, Florida visiting my lifelong friend Deb. We have been friends since we were 5 years old.

Deb and her husband lived in Asia for many years, but Deb and I never lost touch or our connection. When they moved to Jupiter about 13 years ago, I was overjoyed.

Deb and I both cherish our friendship, giving it attention and giving each other our presence. Our friendship thrives.

On Tuesday, Deb and I took a 3-hour “Untouched” pontoon boat tour with Captain Peggy on the Loxahatchee River in Jonathan Dickinson State Park.

For most of the tour, there were no other people on the river. We were present, aware, and felt so connected to nature. Deb and I both told Captain Peggy, “This is exactly what we needed.”

Sometimes the pace and chaos of this world can make you feel unsettled. Nature and friendship help bring you back to presence and peace.

So, can your attention and presence also help you with money matters? Yes, it can. I believe both are necessary, especially if you want to attain true wealth—which is about much more than the number in your bank account.

Friendship, nature, and money—let’s make them all thrive!

Recently, while having lunch with my videographers, Carlos and Viviana, we got into a philosophical conversation about life… and they kept the cameras rolling.

I believe we all have unlimited potential inside of us. Yet, many people fail to see their own spark, their own light — and by failing to see it, they do not act on it.

The world needs all of our light right now. On an individual, family, community, and global level, we need to raise the collective vibration.

Nature needs us to become more aware and attuned because the planet cannot keep giving while we keep taking.

And here’s the thing about money: when you operate at a high vibrational level, you can apply that spark inside to also improve your financial matters.

So, here’s to living in alignment — including financial alignment — and shining your light brightly. ✨

📌 If this message spoke to you, feel free to send it to someone who may need a little reminder of their own light today.
