After nearly three decades with Kaufman Rossin, Lazaro Escandel is stepping into a new role as Chief Financial Officer.

Laz joined the firm in 1996 and most recently served as a Principal in Assurance & Advisory Services, where he led audit engagements for public and private companies. In his new role, he will execute the firm’s financial strategy, with a focus on strengthening revenue management, enhancing cost control and profitability, and helping drive the technology investments and initiatives that will support the firm’s next chapter of growth.

On September 3 at 11 AM ET, Daniel Rosenberg, Director of Cybersecurity & Compliance, will join the Cloud Security Alliance to introduce the SSCF and explore the security gaps it addresses, from non-human identity governance and real-time session enforcement to third-party integration allowlisting and mass data export controls.

What's next for financial crime prevention? That was the focus at Convergence 2026, the ACAMS Atlanta Chapter Summit, where regulators, industry leaders, and financial crime professionals came together to talk about where the field is headed.
