Warning! Message to shut your page down is a scam! DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK

A Facebook Messenger message claiming that your page will be shut down is likely a phishing scam. The goal of these cyber attacks is to trick recipients into giving away personal information, stealing their identity, or gaining access to their bank accounts.
Some examples of these scam messages include:
"Important Notification: Your page is scheduled for permanent deletion due to a post that has infringed upon our trademark rights"

We received the following message:

“Important Warning From Meta:

Your page is scheduled for permanent deletion due to a post that has infringed upon our trademark rights. We have reached this decision after a thorough review and in accordance with our intellectual property protection policies.

If you believe this to be a misunderstanding, we kindly request you to file a complaint seeking the reinstatement of your page prior to its removal from Facebook.
