One year ago today, I took a leap of faith and opened my own financial planning practice with Northwestern Mutual. Looking back, I can honestly say this year has challenged me, stretched me, and helped me grow in more ways than I ever imagined.

Building your own business is not for the faint of heart, but it is one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. The late nights, early mornings, and sacrifices all feel worth it because I know I am building something that will impact my future and the lives of the people I have the privilege of helping.

One of the greatest surprises has been the incredible people I have met along the way. What started as coworkers and connections has turned into friendships that feel like family. I am so grateful to be surrounded by people who encourage me, challenge me, and celebrate every win right alongside me.

I also could not have done this without the unwavering support of my friends and family. On the days when I doubted myself or felt discouraged, they were always there to remind me why I started and to help pick me back up. Having people who believe in you, even when you are struggling to believe in yourself, is a gift I will never take for granted.

To my amazing clients, thank you for trusting me with some of life’s biggest decisions. It is a responsibility I never take for granted, and I am so thankful to be part of your journey.

Here’s to one incredible year, many lessons learned, and an even brighter future ahead. Cheers to continuing to grow, helping more people, and seeing what this next chapter brings. 💙

Friday morning thoughts ✨

One of my favorite parts of what I do is helping people feel confident and organized financially.

I recently signed on a new client who actually came from a cold call. She has spent years in the mortgage industry, and after over a decade of working closely with lenders and realtors, I’ve become very well versed in their compensation structures and financial opportunities. Honestly, they are some of my favorite people to work with and help.

She has been an absolute pleasure to work with throughout this entire process, but something she said during our latest meeting really stuck with me.

“I cannot thank you enough for calling me out of the blue. I get so many sales calls a day, but something felt right, and I’m so glad we’re doing this. I feel so much better.”

That kind of feedback fuels me because it reinforces exactly why I do this. I never want people to feel sold to. I want them to feel genuinely helped, educated, and supported.

There is something incredibly rewarding about watching people become more financially organized and seeing the confidence that comes with it. Being a resource for others and helping them create clarity around their financial future is truly what I love most.

There’s so much that life can throw your way, however, a good balance is key. My dog is not doing the greatest health-wise, so being able to balance every day life, while taking care of her can be a bit of a challenge. Good thing I love a challenge!

In this picture here you see me booking a meeting with my client while taking my sweet girl on a walk so she can get some fresh air. Time with her is super important to me right now so being able to help my clients and spend time with my dog is incredible.

Just like a balanced life, a balanced financial plan is key. When life throws you curve balls, you want to make sure your financial house is safe so you can handle all that life has to throw at you. If you ever have ever found yourself thinking about the what ifs and unsure on what you would do financially, it’s time for a chat.
