Sometimes, its what people say about each other.
Our marketing team recently stepped away from the usual workday for an evening of golf, dinner, and conversations that went beyond work.
The golf course brought out the friendly competition, plenty of advice, and a few different opinions on how the next shot should be played.
But over dinner, we played a simple game: name two teammates you appreciate and tell everyone https://na2.hubs.ly/H08pm0N0 thats when the evening became something more.
We heard stories about colleagues who stepped in when someone was stuck, offered support during a difficult moment, helped ease a stressful day, or simply made a teammate feel less alone.
Some of these gestures might have seemed small to the person who made them.
But hearing how much they meant to someone else was a reminder of the impact we have on the people we work with.
At Finsmart, we spend a lot of time working towards shared goals, solving problems, and getting things done.
But behind all of that are the people who make the work better not just through what they do, but through how they show up for one another.
The person who offers help without being asked.
The colleague who makes a tough day easier.
The teammate who notices when someone needs support.
These moments may not always appear on a task list, but they are an important part of what makes a team.
Were glad we got to share an evening like this with our marketing team.
The golf was fun, the dinner was great, and the appreciation shared around the table made it even more meaningful. Heres to the people who make working together worth it. โค๏ธ
