If we’re serious about building something that lasts for generations, the way we begin matters.

As we prepared to launch Eikenridge Advisory, I kept thinking about what I wanted our team to remember years from now.

Not the numbers.
Not the meetings.
Not the long nights.

The reason we started.

So instead of another plaque or corporate gift, I asked one of our clients—an incredibly talented craftsman—to build something that represented what we’re trying to create.

Three handcrafted black walnut boxes.

One for Travis.
One for Jackson.
One for me.

Every grain in the wood is different.
Every box is unique.
Just like every family, business or individual we’ll have the privilege of serving.

These boxes aren’t meant to sit on a shelf looking pretty.

They’re meant to collect a career.

The first handwritten thank-you from a client.
A note from a family after settling an estate.
A child’s drawing.
The article when we hit a milestone.
The memories from a team retreat.
The reminders of why we do this when the days get hard.

One day, decades from now, when Eikenridge has grown far beyond the three of us, these boxes will tell the story of where it all began.

And maybe that’s the best part.
