Be sure to thank Monett Main Street and the
City of Monett for the annual petunia pole bouquets that are starting to cascade down those iconic green poles on Broadway.

Proudly rocking Monett High School colors, of course!

Each May, 23 poles are adorned with these budding beauties throughout the downtown historic district.

Cruise down to the pavilion on a Saturday morning (for farmers market between 9:00-12:00) and then walk Broadway to see them up close.

Pop in to visit some pretty awesome businesses along the way!

Did you know that the White-lined Sphynx Moth loves to indulge in Monett’s yellow petunias?

Seeking a qualified mason to mentor and supervise tuckpointing on a historic aged building in downtown Monett.

We are being guided by contractors on work that we can provide as sweat equity to keep costs down as much as possible.

We are more than willing to pay someone for their time and effort. And in some spots, we know we need professional help to make fixes. So our guide contractors get that work.

It is our goal to save this 126 year old building and to record our work to make videos to help other people learn and inspire them to get started. We will also promote contractors through our videos and online.

Yes, pros are needed for some things. But, most people who own these buildings are unable to afford to pay those mounting costs.

Saving our historic downtown is a very important focus to us. So many historic buildings have already been lost!

Please refrain from commenting if you are in the “tear it all down” camp. We appreciate positivity. 🙏🏼
