Illinois Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday
There’s still time to take advantage of the Illinois Back‑to‑School Sales Tax Holiday. From August 7–16, 2026, shoppers—both in‑store and online—can save on essential clothing and school supplies. During this 10‑day event, the State sales tax rate on qualifying items is reduced from 6.25% to 1.25%.
