SCAM ALERT!
I’ve had several tax clients contact me in the past 24 hours about receiving these letters from the IRS. Although the IRS is always going to contact you by letter, this isn’t a communication from the IRS.
This scam is pretty sophisticated, especially to the untrained eye, but it’s a scam all the same. If you receive one of these letters, please DO NOT respond or click on the QR code. It should go directly into the trash!
