The new system removes that barrier, automatically applying relief where the IRS would likely grant it anyway, aiming to improve fairness and consistency."

A message from our CEO…

Until you go without technology, you don’t realize just how much you depend on it. For days, we’ve been without internet and phones at the office. As an accounting firm, that’s not just an inconvenience; it’s how we communicate with clients, access files, answer questions, and keep businesses moving. I texted my team and gave them a choice: stay home or come in to help with yard work and deep cleaning while we waited. Every single day, they showed up. That kind of dedication is something you can’t teach, and I’m incredibly grateful for each of them.

Our clients have been just as amazing. So many have been patient, understanding, and supportive. Some even offered us desk space so we could continue working. That level of kindness means more than you’ll ever know. ❤️ Financially, this has been tough. We’ve lost over 320 non-billable hours, and that hurts.

I understand construction has to happen, but this is the second time we’ve been severely impacted. On April 15, our office was taped off after a main gas line was damaged during tax season. Now we’re dealing with damaged communication lines that have left us without the technology we rely on every day.

Despite every obstacle, we’ve continued to do everything possible to take care of our clients because that’s what Forrest Tax & Accounting Services is about.

This experience has reminded me that technology is important, but people are everything. I’m thankful for a team that refuses to quit and for clients who continue to support us through the unexpected. We don’t take either for granted.

Here’s to getting back online and coming back even stronger.
