🔍 Job Duties Include:
• Payroll preparation
• Bank reconciliations
• Maintaining general ledgers
• Maintaining client payables and bank balances
• Preparing financial statements
• Potentially preparing individual tax returns (1040’s)

💻 Software Skills Desired:
• QuickBooks & QuickBooks Online (QBO)
• Payroll and Payables software platforms
• Microsoft Excel
• General comfort with various accounting platforms

• Associate's degree in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience

Payroll and Accounting Professional

Penrod & George, CPA’s, has an opening for an experienced payroll professional. Opportunities for growth include:

· processing payroll from client-provided hours to paychecks

· submitting payroll withholdings timely

· on-boarding new payroll clients

· setting up new employees

· preparing quarterly and year-end payroll tax returns, reconciliations and W-2’s, and other year-end functions

If you have 3-5 years of experience preparing payroll in this fashion, we’d like to see your resume!

Penrod & George, CPA’s, is adding a position for a Tax Manager with 7+ years Public Accounting experience or a college graduate with at least 4 years of Public Accounting experience who is looking for job diversity and a career in public accounting. Our re-opening date for the office will be later than we expected. The remodeling is taking a little longer than we originally thought. Our new re-opening date is October 19th as of now. We will continue to keep you updated of any changes. While the office is closed clients can utilize the drop-off box at the front door. If there is something that is too large to put into that box please contact our office and we will arrange a time to meet. This will go for any pick-up items also. Penrod & George, CPA’s, is looking for a tax preparer who wants job diversity. If you have 3-5 years of experience preparing taxes but are looking for something more, then submit your resume! During our busy season, you would be preparing a variety of returns, including: individual, partnership, corporate, state, and local returns. You would also be working on payroll tax returns and preparing financial statements. For the rest of the year, you would have the opportunity to learn and prepare interim and year-end financial statements, process payroll and payroll withholding payments, and extend your tax knowledge.

We will be closing our Ottawa office starting September 24th for few weeks due to some office remodeling. Our expected reopening date will be October 15th as of now. This could change and we will update everyone if that happens.

While the Ottawa office is closed, clients can utilize the drop-off box at the front door. If there is something that is too large to put into that box, please contact our office and we will arrange a time to meet. This will go for any pick-up items also.
