I remember a bookkeeping cleanup I did in the past where a business owner was doing their own bookkeeping previously, and if they wouldnt have hired me, they would have overstated their income by $250K?!! 😳
At tax time, the most important thing is making sure you have *accurate* numbers to file!! 💯
You want to make sure your claimed income isn’t overstated- because then you would have to pay more taxes on that overstated income 🤦♀️
You also want to make sure that your income is not understated either, because you never know when you might be audited by the IRS 🧑⚖️
Its best to ensure that all payroll expenses and contractor payments are recorded properly also, to avoid headaches and fines in the future 💸
You dont want to be scrambling at the end of the year either for deductible expenses to claim, and scrounging around for receipts 🧾
I always recommend monthly bookkeeping to ensure all of your business income and expenses are recorded regularly so things are less likely to fall through the cracks ⏳
If you are a busy business owner, who is overwhelmed with keeping up on these things, you are in luck- I still have 2 spots open for bookkeeping services to get everything cleaned up by tax time!! ✅⏰🍀 💚 ☘️
