📊 Forex Signals: Don’t Just Count Wins — Measure the Performance!**
Many traders judge a Forex signal provider by asking:
❌ “How many winning signals did they give?”
But that’s only one part of the story.
A professional performance record should look at the complete trading picture. 📈
Here are the key metrics every trader should track:
🎯 1. Win Rate
How many trades actually closed in profit compared with total resolved trades?
💰 2. Total Pips
A provider can have a high win rate but still lose money if the losing trades are much larger than the winners.
⚖️ 3. Risk-to-Reward (R:R)
If you risk 20 pips to potentially make 60 pips, your potential R:R is 1:3.
That means you don't necessarily need a very high win rate to remain profitable.
📉 4. Maximum Drawdown
How far did the account or cumulative performance fall from its previous peak?
This is one of the most important measures of risk.
🎯 5. TP1 vs TP2 Performance
Did price reach the first target?
Did it continue to the second target?
Tracking both helps us understand whether a strategy is designed for quick partial profits or larger moves.
💱 6. Pair-by-Pair Performance
EURUSD may perform differently from GBPUSD, XAUUSD or other instruments.
Tracking each pair separately can reveal where a signal strategy performs best.
📅 7. Monthly Performance
A few winning trades don't prove consistency.
Track performance month after month to identify:
✅ Consistency
✅ Losing periods
✅ Strong periods
✅ Changes in market conditions
The biggest lesson 👇
Never judge a Forex signal provider from screenshots of winning trades alone.
A serious performance record should include:
Win Rate + Pips + R:R + Drawdown + TP Performance + Pair Performance + Monthly Results
And remember:
⚠️Past performance does not guarantee future results.
The goal isn't to find a signal provider that never loses.
The goal is to understand **how the strategy performs over a sufficiently large sample of trades and how much risk is taken to achieve those results.**
📊 Measure the process. Don't chase the screenshots.
