Italy, home of the Roman Empire and a major center of the Renaissance has flourished for centuries. Italy is known for its art, architecture, music, and food.

The Italians have survived the devastation of World War II and many different governments. The people have been able to survive, adapt and cope with many changes in government. Is it different this time? Italy’s “messy politics” with extremists on both sides may affect all of Europe. With so much family in Italy, it pains me to read this.
