Tax season is officially rolling, and while the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" (OBBBA) brought a lot of changes this year, our team in New York City has been getting up to speed so you can get the best possible results directly from a real person who understands your needs, not a computer.

Here are the "Big 5" changes we’re seeing affect our local clients the most:

✅ The Trump Accounts: Parents can now claim a $1,000 government seed and a $250 Dell bonus for eligible children by filing IRS Form 4547 during the 2026 tax season.
✅ Tax-Free Tips & Overtime: Are you working overtime? Are you waiting tables? Up to $25k might be tax-free this year! Keep those payroll summaries handy.
✅ The SALT Cap Jump: Good news for homeowners! The deduction cap for state and local taxes jumped from $10k to $40k.
✅ Car Loan Interest: Bought a new car in 2025? You might be able to deduct up to $10k in interest even if you’re a salaried employee, and/or don’t itemize.

Florida residents now have until February 15th to file returns that are on extension (normally due Oct 15th) due to hurricane Ian.

FL-2022-19, September 29, 2022 — Victims of Hurricane Ian that began September 23 in Florida now have until February 15, 2023, to file various individual and business tax returns and make tax payments, the Internal Revenue Service announced today.
