🎨 We’re Hiring: South Asian Fusion Fashion Designer

HireNCS is seeking a creative designer for a premium New York‑based South Asian fashion brand.
If you can blend heritage craftsmanship with modern global aesthetics, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
1.Design contemporary fusion fashion collections blending South Asian heritage with modern western aesthetics.
2.Develop creative concepts for sarees, panjabis, three-piece sets, kurtis, fusionwear, and modern ethnic apparel.
3.Research global fashion trends, diaspora fashion culture, seasonal trends, and consumer preferences.
4.Create moodboards, collection themes, color stories, and fashion direction concepts.
5.Design commercially viable products optimized for ecommerce sales and modern fashion consumers.
6.Collaborate with content creators, marketing managers, photographers, and graphic designers for campaign ex*****on.
7.Oversee product styling, fashion shoot direction, and collection presentation.
8.Work closely with fabric suppliers, embroidery artisans, and production teams.
9.Develop fashion concepts that combine Bengali craftsmanship with contemporary silhouettes.
10.Ensure quality, fit, detailing, fabric coordination, and finishing consistency.
11.Help shape the long-term visual and fashion identity of the SrijaX brand.
Qualifications
1.3+ years of experience in fashion design, ethnicwear, fusion fashion, or contemporary South Asian fashion.
2.Strong understanding of both South Asian ethnic fashion and modern western fashion aesthetics.
3.Proven experience designing fusion fashion collections for ecommerce or commercial fashion brands.
4.Deep understanding of Bengali fashion, textiles, craftsmanship, embroidery, and cultural aesthetics.
5.Strong knowledge of: fabric selection, draping, silhouette development, color coordination, embroidery placement, and fashion styling.
6.Ability to create culturally rooted yet modern and globally wearable fashion collections.
7. Strong portfolio showcasing: fusion fashion, ethnicwear, contemporary South Asian fashion, or diaspora-focused collections.
8.Understanding of ecommerce fashion presentation, product styling, and digital-first fashion branding.
9.Experience collaborating with production teams and overseeing product development.
10.Experience using creative AI and visual ideation tools such as Midjourney, Krea AI, Adobe Firefly, CLO3D, Pinterest, Milanote, and similar platforms.
11.Strong understanding of fashion trends, customer psychology, and commercially successful design direction.
