Operating without a clear strategy often leads to reactive decisions and missed opportunities.

Without structure, risk exposure increases and long-term value can erode.

A well-defined plan creates clarity, confidence, and control.

Preparation turns uncertainty into advantage.

Health can change overnight. The question is have you already put the right protection in place before it does?

Insurability is fragile and most people don’t realize it until it’s gone.

You can be “best class” today… and uninsurable tomorrow.

That’s why timing matters more than anything.

The best offer you’ll ever get?
The one you receive when you’re healthiest.

Because here’s the irony:
Most people want coverage after something happens when in reality, the decision needed to be made before.

We’ve seen strategies where individuals protect their insurability year after year locking in coverage while they still can.

Because once a major health event hits, there’s no negotiating your way back in.

At Schiff Executive Benefits, we focus on protecting opportunities before they disappear.

Not all supplements are created equal and not all of them are actually working.

Here’s the reality:

Many oral supplements never fully make it into your bloodstream. They’re processed and cleared before your body can truly benefit.

So the smarter approach?

Stop guessing. Start measuring.

Blood work gives real insight into what your body actually needs so you can adjust with intention, not assumptions.

Whether it’s through your physician or newer monthly testing options, the goal is the same:
Make decisions based on data, not trends.

At Schiff Executive Benefits, we believe better outcomes come from precision not guesswork.

Retirement isn’t just about finances it’s about reality.

Because at some point, the question shifts from “What do I want to do?” to “Who will be there when I need help?”

Here’s what often gets overlooked:

Families aren’t always close by. Kids may live states away. Daily support isn’t guaranteed.

And retirement isn’t one phase it’s three:

👉 Go-Go Years: travel, energy, bucket lists
👉 Slow-Go Years: routines shrink, life slows down
👉 No-Go Years: care becomes essential

The biggest gap? Planning for the “what if” moments.

Who helps with daily living?
Who steps in when independence changes?

Because most people don’t want to rely on their children but they also don’t plan for an alternative.

Schiff Executive Benefits helps bring these conversations to the forefront so retirement is prepared for every stage, not just the first.

Hype is everywhere. Evidence is not.

In a recent discussion between Nancy Schiff and Dr. Michael Grinn, one idea stood out:

Just because something is popular doesn’t mean it works.

So we take a different approach:
We start with the goal.

✔️ What outcome are we trying to achieve?
✔️ Is there real science behind it?
✔️ Will it actually be sustainable long-term?

The real advantage isn’t choosing between innovation and traditional medicine it’s knowing how to combine both the right way.

Whether it’s NAD or any trending supplement, we focus on what’s proven, purposeful, and aligned with real results.

Because better questions lead to better decisions.

In 2003, the IRS introduced Section 409A.
And it changed the rules around deferring compensation.

Here’s what matters:
You can defer income for no less than 13 months.
When you defer it, you must choose the time and form of payment upfront.

Want to push it back?

If you make the change at least 12 months before the payout date, you can re-defer but it must be for at least five additional years.

Done correctly, you can continue pushing that benefit out even all the way to retirement.
The key with 409A?

Plan early.
Be precise.
And follow the rules.

Reward your team based on “Blue Sky Days.”

Yes, really.

Traditional plans are rigid.
They follow strict formulas.
They offer zero room for creativity.

Executive benefits don't have to be that way.

Imagine an account that grows based on what matters to you.

A fixed dollar amount.

A specific investment.

Or even the number of sunny days in a year.

It is that discriminatory.

It is that flexible.

Most leaders think they are boxed in by regulations.

They aren't.

They are boxed in by lack of design.

You can reward the right people for the right reasons.

Without the handcuffs of standard plans.

The difference is design.

Non-Qualified Stock Options.
Restricted stock.

At the core, they’re forms of phantom stock promises tied to performance and value.

And here’s the key:
They’re a liability against the company until they’re funded.
That’s where we come in.

At SEB, we specialize in creating the funding strategy behind the promise.

Because every nonqualified plan is just that a promise unless you choose to make a deductible contribution and properly fund it.
The goal?

Design what I call the ideal benefit plan:

A meaningful promise.
Backed by real funding.
Structured the right way.

When you reach retirement, you need one thing:
A paycheck.

Not hope.
Not projections.
A paycheck.

One that gives you that “head on the pillow” moment even on your worst day.

It means your basics are covered:
Healthcare.
Car.
Food.
Lifestyle.

Then there’s the second layer funding the go-go years.
Australia.
New Zealand.
Europe.
The bucket list.

These programs were originally designed to create a pension-like benefit for highly compensated executives, something above and beyond Social Security.
Retirement isn’t about stopping work.

It’s about replacing income with certainty.

Our Story

Insurance Consulting Company focused on Corporate and Bank Executive Benefits Plans that discriminate in favor of the owner and his key employees.

If you want to provide a benefit that is customized to your specific need, give us a call. We have worked with Teva Pharmaceuticals, Staples, Right Management, Quaker Chemical, and other fine mid-sized businesses in designing, implementing, and funding those benefits at pennies on the dollar.

Don’t assume that because you have been declined for insurance in the past, that we can’t do something for you. That’s just the beginning of our conversation.
