Courage Miller Partners is a well-established fiduciary Registered Investment Advisor firm providing boutique style wealth management and retirement planning in the Hampton Roads Area. We are currently expanding and seeking a career-minded, detail oriented and driven Client Relations Associate to partner with the Portfolio Managers and the rest of the highly experienced team.
As a Client Relations Associate, you will be responsible for coordinating client engagement, assisting in safeguarding client assets, and serving as administrative and operational support. This position is an integral component of the Operations Team, and provides the digital and physical foundation for the firm to maintain an exemplary experience for their clients.
Core Responsibilities:
• Interact daily on the phone and in person with prospective and existing clients including handling basic inquiries
• Maintain existing client relationships through the processing of client requests, resolving client inquiries, and making sure key client information and documentation is up to date
• Conduct outreach to maintain strong relationships with clients
• Onboard new clients, which includes the collection of required documentation and client information
• Actively engage in available training and education programs to stay up-to-date on all policies, procedures and risk awareness
• Perform administrative duties that support daily business practices, including but not limited to, telephones, coordination of client meetings, and file & calendar maintenance
• Interact daily with custodians for processing of client requests
• Process and follow up on client documentation for proper maintenance of accounts
• Prepare letters, forms and spreadsheets to assist with servicing existing clients and helping new clients
• Create and maintain records and files
• Train other service associates when needed
• Cross-train on other operational functions and perform back-up in these areas as needed
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree is required
• At least 5 years securities industry or related work experience preferred
• Knowledge of investment and banking products, policies & procedures
• Knowledge of Retirement Plans and their operation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and exceptional knowledge in Excel
• Series 7 & 66 or 63/65 licenses preferred. If industry licenses are not currently held, successful completion must be obtained within a specified timeframe
• Must project an excellent customer service attitude
• Interpersonal skills to work with clients and the team
• Good organizational skills to be able to prioritize tasks and keep strong records
• Excellent analytical skills for research and understanding
• Mathematical abilities sufficient to process account and transaction information
