It's the scariest time of the summer again! It's time to face the tooth... we mean, truth. Sharks can be a bit intimidating but don't worry, we're here to give you a good start to shark week with some sharky fun facts. 😅🏊‍♀‍

🦈The Great White Shark might steal the spotlight, but did you know that there are over 500 different species of sharks? Each one has its unique characteristics and adaptations, making the shark family truly diverse and extraordinary. Our personal faves….the Hammerhead!

🦈Despite their ferocious reputation, most shark species are actually harmless to humans. Out of the hundreds of shark species, only a few, such as the Great White and the Tiger Shark, are responsible for the majority of reported attacks.

🦈Sharks are excellent navigators. They use the Earth's magnetic field, along with other cues like the sun and stars, to navigate during their long migrations across vast distances.

🦈Sharks have been around longer than trees! The earliest known shark-like creatures appeared in the oceans over 450 million years ago, making them one of the oldest surviving vertebrate groups on Earth.
