Our clients should have received a letter back in November or December letting them know that we have decided to merge our practice with Selby Tax and Accounting. I will be working with Selby for tax preparation and will still be working with many of our clients during the transition and hopefully for years to come. If you did not receive a letter, we apologize. We have discovered recently that a few of our clients did not get the mail we sent out.
Our phone number will be transferred over to Selby beginning Monday, February 5th. Here is Selby's newsletter (https://mailchi.mp/a54b228382cc/simplify-your-tax-prep?e=b6d4f28926) with details on their processes for tax season. There is a link in the newsletter that shares how to submit documents to them. There is no guarantee that my availability will allow for me to serve all former Due Diligence clients at Selby, but they have many qualified preparers who I have full confidence in.
I will be following Selby's established procedures and policies, so things may be different than what you are used to. Please take a couple minutes to review their website for details on pricing and on what documents should be included in your tax documentation package.
I will still be accepting some IRS representation work on my own, so if you know of anyone who needs help establishing an installment agreement, unraveling a poorly-prepared or inaccurate DIY return, preparing a response to an IRS love letter (correspondence audit, collection letter, or CP2000 letter), requesting penalty abatement, or preparing a collection information statement in an attempt to avoid garnishment, please send them my way. Please know that this was a very difficult decision for us to make. I have loved working with you - some of you for a very, very long time!
