Terry Lammers is a proven lower–middle market operator and M&A strategist with a track record of building, scaling, and exiting businesses through disciplined acquisition-led growth. Over a 20-year career as a business owner, he completed 11 acquisitions, transforming his company into a highly attractive platform before successfully selling it to a multi-billion-dollar strategic buyer.
Following his exit, Terry expanded his financial and transactional expertise in commercial banking before founding Innovative Business Advisors, where he has advised entrepreneurs and investors on buying, selling, and valuing businesses. As a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), he has completed hundreds of business valuations and is known for aligning valuation with real-world deal ex*****on—bridging the gap between theory and closeable transactions.
Most recently, Terry served as CFO and Chief Growth Officer of a growth-oriented company, where he helped scale revenue from $9 million to $80 million in five years through a combination of strategic acquisitions and organic expansion. His leadership focused on deal sourcing, capital strategy, integration, and building the operational infrastructure required to support rapid growth.
Terry is also the author of You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know; Everything You Need to Know to Buy or Sell a Business, a practical guide for business owners navigating complex transactions.
He is widely recognized for his ability to identify value, structure deals that close, and execute post-acquisition integration to drive measurable growth.
