On Sunday, I took time to enjoy a meaningful day with my family at La Jolla Cove. We shared a great meal together and then spent time exploring the area, where we were able to observe sea lions up close, along with pelicans and other coastal wildlife. It was a beautiful experience that allowed us to create lasting memories and appreciate the moments that matter most. Days like this serve as a reminder of why maintaining balance between work and family is so important and the purpose behind what I do.

Spending time with my family and creating memories together is something I truly value. Days like this help me stay balanced between work and family life and remind me to appreciate the little moments. We took some time to go strawberry picking, something we’ve enjoyed doing over the years since my daughter Raven was little. Along the way, we also visited the petting area and enjoyed a fun tractor ride, making it a day full of simple joys and lasting memories.

Today, we pause in remembrance of the brave men and women who gave their yesterday so we can have our today. Their ultimate sacrifice will never be forgotten. This past weekend, my family and I continued a tradition that began when my children were young, taking time to honor and teach the meaning of this day. We visited a memorial site, placed flags, and paid our respects to those who served and those who are no longer with us. We also extend our deepest gratitude and respect to Gold Star families for their enduring strength and sacrifice. We remember, we honor, and we are forever thankful.
