Friday, August 7th through Sunday, August 9th.
What Is Tax-Free Weekend?
A period of time meant to benefit both consumers and retailers in Oklahoma when retail sales taxes are not collectible or payable on a specific class of purchases.
Who Does It Apply to?
If an item is tax exempt, anyone may make the purchase tax-free.
What Items Are Tax Exempt?
Any article of clothing or footwear designed to be worn on or about the human body with a sales price of less than $100 is tax exempt.
What Items Are Not Tax Exempt?
- Any accessories (jewelry, handbags, luggage, umbrellas, wallets, watches, etc.)
- Special clothing or footwear designed for athletic activity or protective use that is not normally worn except when used for athletic activity or protective use (things like football pads, cleats, shin guards).
- The rental of clothing or footwear.
