This week, Iām unplugging.
My team is running the business, and theyāre absolutely crushing it. Watching that happen is one of the greatest gifts of building a company that doesnāt depend on me being āonā every second.
This week, I get to be fully present.
Weāre taking the family boat to Horn Island. The girls are hunting for seashells. G is learning to handle and maintain the bay boat. Iām collecting moments Iāll remember far longer than another meeting or another email.
Being away from home, work, and the never-ending responsibilities gives us space to actually live.
Can I be honest for a minute?
I make great money. As a single mom, I built a business that gives me freedom, flexibility, and the ability to be present for Abbey. Iām incredibly proud of that.
Andā¦
My partner has two kids and makes more money than I do.
For a split second, that can make me question myself.
Then I remember: weāre not competing.
His ambition, intelligence, and work ethic have created an incredible life for his family. My vision, work ethic, and intentional business design created a life where I donāt have to choose between success and being present for my daughter.
Neither path is better.
Together, they create something even more beautiful.
Thereās something really powerful about celebrating someone elseās strengths without feeling like they diminish your own.
His success doesnāt make mine smaller.
My success doesnāt make his smaller.
Together, we get to give our kids experiences like thisāboat rides, salt air, sandy feet, seashell collections, and parents who are truly present.
Thatās the kind of wealth Iām most proud of.
May we all build lives where success isnāt just measured by what we earn, but by the freedom we create, the people we love, and the memories we make along the way. šš¤
