Last night at our Five Rings Financial agent training, we had the opportunity to celebrate an incredible milestone—10 years of the Oklahoma City office! 🎉

A huge congratulations to Connor and Michelle Niebrugge for their vision, leadership, and resilience in building this office over the past decade. Every successful business has its seasons of challenges and victories, and reaching 10 years is something truly worth celebrating.

While they were away on vacation, we planned a small surprise as a simple act of appreciation. A special thank you to Marisa, Rachel, Pam, David, and everyone else who came together to make it happen. It was a reminder that it’s the people who make all the difference.

Afterward, we headed to Torchy’s Tacos for great food, lots of laughs, and even better conversation. Between the tacos, chips and queso, churros, and a cocktail to top off the evening, it was the perfect way to celebrate together.

Moments like these remind me why I’m so thankful to be part of Five Rings Financial. Yes, I love helping families build a stronger financial future, but it’s also the camaraderie, encouragement, and genuine friendships within this team that make this journey so rewarding.

Congratulations again, Connor and Michelle, on 10 amazing years. Here’s to many more years of changing lives and making a difference in Oklahoma! ❤️💍

Show Up… You Never Know What Door Might Open 🍑🌮✨

Tonight was such a good reminder that sometimes the biggest opportunities come from simply showing up.

I had an amazing time at tacos & margaritas night at Legends Assisted Living with Naturopathy Practitioner Connie — good conversations, networking, laughter, new connections, and yes… a bottle of Stella Rosa Peach made the evening even sweeter. 🍑🥂

One thing I’m learning in business and in life is this:
Get out of the house.
Meet new people.
Try new experiences.
Support others.

You truly never know what door you’re helping open for yourself just by being present and building genuine relationships. Opportunities don’t always start in boardrooms — sometimes they start over tacos and conversation. 🌮💛

Grateful for nights like this and the relationships being built along the way.

Stop Saying “I Didn’t Know”

This morning at the REI Women’s Business Breakfast, I shared something that got the room real quiet.

We love telling people:
“Girl, go chase your dreams.”

But we don’t ask:
Have you actually run the numbers?
Have you talked to a financial professional?
Have you sat with the Small Business Development Center and built a real plan?

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in business is this:
Too many people start businesses before they understand money personally OR professionally.

Even with my dream of opening a residential assisted-living facility, once I sat down and worked the numbers, I realized I’d likely be in the red for the first few years because of startup costs. That doesn’t mean the dream is dead — it means I need strategy, funding, grants, and preparation.

There are FREE resources everywhere, but too many people refuse to use them.

At some point, we have to stop saying:
“I just didn’t know.”

Financial literacy is foundational — in your household and in your business.

If you want to sit down and start getting clarity around your finances and goals, book some time on my calendar:

3 Years In… and Still Showing Up 💪🏾✨

Today marks another anniversary in my journey with Five Rings Financial—3 years as a 1099 entrepreneur, building, learning, stretching, and growing.

Let me be real… this path is not easy.

When you’re your own boss, there’s no clocking in and out. No guaranteed paycheck. Everything you earn comes from your consistency, your discipline, your willingness to keep going—especially on the days you don’t feel like it.

There are days you question yourself.
Days you feel like you’re not “there” yet.
Days when progress feels slow.

But here’s what I’ve learned: progress is still progress.

They say it takes 3–5 years to really build something meaningful… and I’m still on that journey. Still pushing. Still believing. Still showing up.

Because when God has placed a purpose on your life, quitting is not an option.

So to anyone out there building something of your own—stay the course.
Keep networking. Keep learning. Keep planting seeds.

Your consistency will speak for you.
Your perseverance will pay off.

And one day, all the “still trying” will turn into “I’m so glad I didn’t give up.”

Full Circle Moments & Sweet Treats 💛

I had such a great time at the Women of Color Expo today!

Running into two of my favorites— Naturopathy Practitioner Connie Self Care University and Raia Brooks Love On A Plate—made the experience even more special. There’s something about going into a space and seeing familiar faces… it just makes everything feel full circle.

It was such a blessing to network, connect, and be surrounded by amazing businesses and teams.

And to top the day off? A quick stop at Braum’s with my girls 🍦—shoutout to schools for rewarding our babies with those “earned” treats for doing well academically. They enjoyed every bite of their kids meal and ice cream!

Today was a really good day 💛
