In 2018, San Rafael voters endorsed Measure G, a city-sponsored plan to set new and higher taxes for the fledgling legal ma*****na market.

The [cannabis] tax raised only $243,554 in its first calendar year.

That was almost two years ago.

Across the board, San Rafael’s five city-permitted delivery businesses did $3.5 million in business between April 1 and June 30 — a 175% increase over figures from the same months last year.
