This incredible photo of my grandfather, Captain Jesus Olmedo, was shared with me through — and I’m honestly speechless. It’s the clearest image I’ve ever seen of him. He passed away when my dad was just 6 years old, so moments like this feel like a true gift. Grateful beyond words.

I felt you all week, I even think I saw Kenli staring straight at you, or at least where you’d be standing watching over us. Another year without you, and I still get shocked at the thought that I’ll never see you again. There’s so many things I want to share with you and so many moments I know you’d laugh or be happy about. I just have to imagine those reactions in my heart.
