With so many local nonprofits doing amazing work, it can be hard to choose! In honor of National Volunteer Week, here are a few of our team’s favorites:

💛 Mission Southside: Serving neighbors across Johnson County by providing food, clothing and furniture with a focus on building connection. With opportunities for children to help, this is a family friendly place to serve: missionsouthside.org.

🏠 Hillcrest Thrift Store: A thrift store where every donation and volunteer hour supports their mission to move individuals and families from homelessness to self-sufficiency through transitional housing programs: hillcrestkc.org

🌱 God’s Garden: An Overland Park volunteer-powered community garden on the grounds of Colonial Presbyterian Church growing fresh produce for local food pantries (including Mission Southside!) and fighting food insecurity in our community: God's Community Garden

Today we’re shining a light on two stars who help keep everything running behind the scenes, Cindy St. John and Ambra Leibach, in honor of Administrative Professionals Day.

Cindy, our Relationship Manager, cares deeply for our clients and keeps everything, and everyone, moving forward. Ambra, our Office Manager, handles billing, payroll, and compliance and plays a critical role in keeping our operations running smoothly.

We’re incredibly grateful for both of them and the strengths and gifts they bring to our team. We hope they feel appreciated every day, but especially today. Feel free to share word of encouragement for Cindy and Ambra in the comments!
