We first met Mike & Christine when they were 64 and 65...
Mike was an attorney, just recently retired, and Christine had been a stay at home mom of five wonderful children...
They had saved up about $650,000 in retirement assets and were just getting ready to retire...
Like most folks, they refused long term care coverage their whole life...
As with many folks we meet with, their belief was:
"Nothing will never happen to me...Maybe we'll do something when we get older..."
Friends, family, and the gurus on TV were all telling them "Long term care is a waste of money..."
So they took their friends advice and ran with it...
Then about 6 months ago, out of the blue... I received a message from Christine:
"Mike is forgetting conversations overnight. It has been both frightening and frustrating. I have expressed my concerns to Mike and he seens nothing wrong. He doesn't see what my son, daughter and I have seen..."
Mike has early-onset Alzheimer's. He is 68.
Boy how I wish... how THEY wish.. that they'd cared enough to plan back then for their future, instead of putting it off...
Hoping and believing "It will never happen to me..."
But they didn't plan, they just... "hoped"
and now their $650,000 that they had in retirement savings will easily get eaten up by 8 to 10 thousand dollars a month going to a memory care unit...
I don't share this story to scare you.. just to give you the reality of what's going on...
I mean, look around... there are long term care facilities and assisted living facilities going up all over the place...
It's very real, so I've put together an online training sharing 3 strategies you can implement right now to prevent a similar long term care catastrophe...
