Let’s talk about gratitude. Here is a reflection from my trip to Zagreb Croatia. This small painting somehow miraculously made it through a fire that destroyed everything. Now people come to pray for miracles in a small anteroom where the ancient gates go under the old town wall.

Paving the walls of the anteroom are little plaques of thanks (“hvala” in Croatian) from people whose prayers were answered.

The practice of expressing gratitude in such a tangible way is really moving, isn’t it?

A dear friend, Anna Lennick, is bravely battling pancreatic cancer. Her husband, my teammate Steve Lennick, does a commendable job of living each day in the present to find and write about the WOW moments the day brings. Our team at Dynamic Directions has been so inspired by the strength and grace Anna and Steve have displayed that we've decided to raise awareness about pancreatic cancer and fund vital research for improved treatments -- all in the name of Anna. To raise funds, I am committed to 150 minutes of exercise a week. I plan to reflect on my many blessings and a deepen my gratitude for the everyday occurrences so often taken for granted each time I exercise.
