Finally!! After the on again/ off again game, then no penalties for not filing to now only foreign entities/ ownership. Our area small businesses are off the hook for BOI reporting.

FinCEN issued an interim final rule Friday removing the requirement for U.S. companies and U.S. persons to report beneficial ownership information under the Corporate Transparency Act.

Final update on Beneficial Ownership Reporting (BOI):
Yesterday, the federal court of appeals overturned the nationwide injunction from December 3rd. BOI is now back on and companies required to file now have an extended deadline of January 13, 2025.

BOI Update from the AICPA:

Since the new bill that passed the house doesn't include the one-year delay for BOI, they recommend gathering information to file, but holding off on filing for now.

Today's the day. I am so excited to announce that we will be adding another tax accountant to our staff. Please welcome Brandi Tibbetts. Brandi is a Belle native like myself. She has a degree in accounting as well as her master's and also plans to sit for the CPA exam. She comes to us with two years experience in the public accounting sector. Our office is fortunate to have grown over the years and has the need to expand. Come see us this tax season and welcome Brandi!

We are looking for another staff accountant. Accounting and/or payroll experience preferred. Hours would be 40+ hours a week during Jan-April, dropping down to 3 days a week May- Dec.
