I’m incredibly proud to have been part of LPL Financial’s Hispanic Heritage Month Advisor Panel, celebrating this year’s theme, “Collective Heritage: Unidos Somos Más | Together We Are More.”

One of the most meaningful parts of our profession is the opportunity to encourage and inspire the next generation of financial advisors to share our experiences, open doors, and remind others that there is a place for their voice and perspective in this industry.

It was especially meaningful to be represented not only as an advisor and founder of Franz Tatum Wealth Management, but alongside my daughter, Sophia Franz, who is building her own career in financial services. Sharing this experience together made an already special event even more memorable.

Grateful for the opportunity to celebrate our heritage, our profession, and the generations who will continue to move it forward.

During Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate the histories, cultures, and contributions that continue to shape our families and communities.

Gen X often stands at the center of an important exchange: learning from the Boomers who came before them, sharing life alongside Millennials, and helping younger generations understand where they come from.

Whatever your generation, what lesson from your family still guides you today?

Gen X has spent a lot of years in the middle.

You may be helping adult children while simultaneously watching your parents need more support.

And your own retirement is getting closer.

It can create some complicated financial—and emotional—decisions.

How much help can we provide our children?
Could our parents eventually need financial or caregiving support?
What happens if an inheritance enters the picture?
How do we balance generosity with our own long-term priorities?

There isn’t one answer that works for every family.

But understanding what you may be asked to fund can help you evaluate those choices in the context of your broader financial picture.

One question for your family: Who might depend on you financially over the next five to ten years?

That conversation may be worth having before the need arises.

There’s something special about having a hobby that gives your mind a different place to go.

For me, that’s arranging flowers. 🌿🌸 I love the creativity of bringing colors, textures and shapes together simply for the joy of creating something beautiful.

Hobbies give us space to recharge and make room for the things we love. And really, that’s part of what good financial planning is about too: creating a life with room for what matters.

For me, sometimes that looks like a table full of flowers. 💐

Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001.

We remember the lives lost, honor the courage of the first responders and everyday heroes, and hold close the families and communities forever changed by that day.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember the strength, compassion, and unity shown in the face of unimaginable loss.

We will never forget.

Fresh air, movement, a little friendly competition and plenty of laughs with Nila before the workday begins. It’s such a good reminder that taking care of yourself and making time for a little fun can set the tone for everything that follows.
