You procrastinated on doing your taxes until now – is it too late to file a fully savings-optimized return? Yes, because business filing gets messy when you try to slap together a hasty return to meet the deadline.

Instead, file an extension to give yourself some leeway to to do things the right way.

Keep in mind that your return could take anywhere from 2-5 hours or 10-20+ hours depending on business structure. And that's IF the books have been done correctly. Add in a few more hours to fully optimize your savings.

Just remember, an extension does NOT extend your time to pay what you owe. That’s still April 15th – like it or not.

We can walk you through this process. We’ll help you estimate what you owe, get your payment in by the deadline, and take care of filing that extension on your behalf.

One week (and one day) until Tax Day.

And we want to help you make that deadline. So let us know what’s currently keeping you from filing: lack of time, missing documents, or tax confusion?

There are really two types of clients we see come through our doors (and one of them sees WAY more tax savings):

Client 1 only thinks about taxes DURING tax season. They have a defensive tax strategy, just trying to stay out of trouble with Uncle Sam (and never getting any bigger benefits).

Client 2 considers taxes year-round. They evaluate their past year’s taxes, consider their life situation, and make a plan for small, consistent moves to reduce their tax burden.

When you think strategically about your money and the year ahead, you can actually capitalize on all the ways you could legally be paying the IRS less. You just need to be intentional, and get some expert guidance – which we're happy to offer.

The BOI reporting saga has finally reached a (sort of) finale – and what a journey it’s been. But is it a happy ending for your business?

We think so. FinCEN’s ruling for now is that U.S.-based businesses no longer need to report their beneficial ownership information. Only foreign companies doing business here in the U.S. have to report (but they don’t have to report U.S. individuals as owners).

Now comes the caveat you were probably anticipating: This is an interim rule. So, while the need isn’t as urgent, it’s still wise to have your BOI reporting documents at the ready.

Recession. You’ve probably heard that word in a lot of headlines (and anxious whispers) recently. But let’s look at the big picture…

March’s reported unemployment rates actually point toward LESS risk of a recession. Job openings, retail sales, and household spending are still staying steady.

Yes, it’s important to take the possibility of a recession seriously, but don’t let it drive you into a panic. Because the media business model thrives on fear. Don’t let hearsay and headlines get the better of you.

The REAL financial issue at large impacting you right now? Getting your taxes filed. You’ve got less than two weeks. If making that deadline feels impossible, let us help you.

It’s 1996, and you’ve just heard the news: Taco Bell bought the Liberty Bell, renaming it the “Taco Liberty Bell.” Can you believe it?

If you did, you would’ve been April fool-ed. Happy April Fools' Day everyone! 😉

The annual day of jokes, pranks and tricks falls on April 1 each year, but no one is quite sure how the tradition started.
