Presidents’ Day is a federal banking holiday.
In 2026, that means:
❌ Closed
• Monday, Feb 16, 2026
• Federal Reserve
• ACH network
• IRS payment releases to banks
• No deposits can post this day
✅ Reopens
• Tuesday, Feb 17, 2026
• Federal Reserve is fully open
• ACH files start moving again
• IRS can release refund batches to banks
• Banks like Chime, Cash App, netspend etc. can begin crediting accounts
📌 What this means for YOU
• IRS can queue refunds before the holiday
• ACH files are held during the holiday
• Once the Fed opens early Tuesday (2/17):
• ACH batches are released
• Chime often posts deposits same day
So for Chime users:
• Tuesday 2/17 → Wednesday 2/18 is a prime deposit window
• This is exactly why so many PATH + Chime filers see deposits on 2/18
