Small Business Owners: Stop Mixing Business and Personal Funds!
One of the biggest reasons I see small businesses struggle is mixing business money with personal spending. Your business account should be used for business expenses only.
It’s easy to believe your business isn’t making money when the account never grows—but sometimes, the money is being spent on personal expenses before you can see the actual profit.
Keep up with your bookkeeping, reinvest part of your profit into the business, and pay yourself a reasonable percentage for personal use. If that amount isn’t enough to cover your personal bills, you may need another source of income while your business grows.
Your business cannot grow if you spend every dollar it earns. Treat it like a business—not a personal bank account.
