For everyone that has heard about the tax deadline extension for MS residents.... The penalty will be reversed ONLY for people who were AFFECTED by the ice storm or tornadoes. This does NOT apply to every resident. If you were not immediately affected, you will be penalized if you do not file by April 15, 2026.

Failure to file on time (4/15/26) and failure to pay, the penalty fees can be 5-25%.
