Today, we join millions around the world in remembering the incomparable Dolly Parton.

Dolly was far more than a country music legend. She was a songwriter, actress, businesswoman, philanthropist, and a shining example of kindness, humility, and generosity. Through her timeless music, joyful spirit, and Imagination Library, she brought comfort, inspiration, and opportunity to generations of people.

Her remarkable talent made her an icon, but her loving heart made her truly unforgettable. Though the world feels a little less bright today, Dolly’s music, compassion, and extraordinary legacy will continue to touch lives for generations to come.

Planning to claim a deduction for non-cash charitable gifts worth more than $5,000? Don’t let missing documentation put your deduction at risk.

The IRS generally requires:

✅ A written acknowledgment from the charity
✅ A qualified, independent appraisal
✅ A completed Form 8283 with the required signatures
